SunPoly™ ASI – One-Pack Screen Ink for Untreated Polypropylene

SunPoly ASI is a high-performance, single-pack screen printing ink system specifically developed for untreated polypropylene. This solvent-based ink delivers excellent adhesion, high gloss, and flexibility—making it an ideal solution for promotional products, labels, and plastic packaging where standard inks typically fail.

Formulated for smooth press operation, SunPoly ASI provides reliable screen stability and quick air drying. It is also compatible with pad printing applications when properly modified.

Recommended Substrates:

• Untreated polypropylene
• Most plastic substrates (pre-test recommended)

Recommended Emulsions:
For optimal stencil strength and solvent resistance, we recommend:

• Murakami SR
• Chromaline UDC ACE
• Saati SAATIGRAF HS3
• Saati Grafic HU

Screen Setup:

• Mesh: 90–120 threads/cm (230–305/inch)
• Squeegee: Medium to hard (70–80 durometer)
• Stencil: Solvent-resistant photoemulsion or capillary film

Drying & Cure:
Air dries in approximately 20 minutes. Forced air drying in 15–25 seconds at 32–66°C. Full adhesion is achieved after 24 hours.

Ink Modification:

• Reducer: Add up to 15% SunPoly ST-327
• Adhesion Promoter: Add up to 5% ST-407 by weight
• Wipe-on Adhesion: Apply ST-407 directly to substrate before printing
• Pad Printing: Add 10% ST-407 and 15–20% ET-25 Reducer

Coverage:
One quart covers approx. 27.9 m² (300 ft²) using 100 threads/cm mesh.

Clean-Up:
Use AGM Green Citrus Wash or AGM Green Eco Wash for safe and effective cleaning.

Storage:
Store at 5–32°C. Shelf life is 12 months in sealed containers under proper conditions.
