Description
SunPromo C70 Multigrip – Fast-Drying Gloss Ink for Labels, Packaging & Displays
SunPromo C70 Multigrip is a versatile, high-gloss, solvent-based screen printing ink formulated for rapid drying, excellent adhesion, and strong outdoor durability. Ideal for pressure-sensitive vinyl, rigid plastics, treated polyesters, and coated paper surfaces, it performs exceptionally well on high-speed presses like cylinder and reel-to-reel label machines.
This low-odour system is compliant with major global safety standards (RoHS, EN71, CONEG, and more), and is suitable for printing on a wide range of graphic and industrial applications, including P.O.P. displays, membrane faceplates, book covers, and more.
Key Benefits:
- Fast drying—single layer prints dry in 10–15 seconds at 60°C
- High-gloss finish with excellent definition and screen stability
- Low odour, solvent-based formula with outdoor durability
- Suitable for vacuum forming, overprinting, and multi-layer prints
- Compliant with EN71, RoHS, CONEG, ASTM F963, and more
Recommended Substrates:
- Pressure-sensitive and rigid vinyl
- Styrene and polycarbonate
- Surface-treated polyester and acrylic
- Most coated paper/board and select fiberglass
- With adhesion promoter: fluted polypropylene (e.g. Coroplast®, Hycor®)
Note: Always pre-test for compatibility and long-term performance.
Recommended Emulsions:
For maximum print edge sharpness and durability, use one of the following solvent-resistant emulsions:
- Murakami SR
- Chromaline UDC ACE
- Saati SAATIGRAF HS3
- Saati Grafic HU
Browse these options in our Solvent & UV Emulsions Collection.
Screen Setup:
- Mesh: 100–120 threads/cm (255–305/in)
- Squeegee: Medium to hard durometer urethane
- Stencil: Solvent-resistant emulsion or capillary film
Drying:
Jet dry in 10–15 seconds at 60°C (single-layer). Subsequent layers may require longer. Avoid excessive retarder as it may slow drying.
Ink Modification:
- Reduce with 10–20% ST-212
- Retard with ST-303 or GEL-100 for fine detail or hot conditions
- Reduce gloss with up to 20% MAT-190 for satin/matte effects
- Add 1% ST-355 Adhesion Promoter for polypropylene (usable for 24–48 hours)
Overprinting:
Use C70 Mixing Clear or SunPromo Overprint Clear for best outdoor durability. Can be reduced with 5–15% SunPromo Overprint Clear Reducer.
Coverage:
Up to 140 m² per 3.8 L (approx. 1,500 ft²/US gal) using 100/cm mesh.
Cleaning:
Use AGM Green Citrus Wash or AGM Green Eco Wash for safe, effective screen cleaning.
Storage:
Store between 5–32°C. Shelf life up to 24 months when sealed and stored properly.
Safety & Compliance:
Formulated without heavy metals. Meets ASTM F963, 16 CFR Part 1303, RoHS, WEEE, EN71-3, and EU packaging directives. Dispose of waste per local regulations.
