Description

Corribond CR Series – Durable Screen Ink for Fluted Polypropylene & Polyolefin Sheets

The Corribond CR Series is an economical, solvent-based screen printing ink formulated for excellent adhesion and durability on pre-treated polyolefin substrates such as fluted and sheet polypropylene. Ideal for outdoor signage, folders, and display boards, it offers robust performance and clean printability on materials typically challenging for standard inks.

These inks are engineered for maximum efficiency in estate signage and display work, with excellent screen stability, rapid drying, and up to 2 years of outdoor weather resistance.

Key Benefits:

  • Excellent adhesion to treated polyolefins and corrugated polypropylene
  • Solvent-based formula with jet or ambient drying flexibility
  • Rated for up to 2 years outdoor durability (based on BS3900 weathering tests)
  • Good flexibility and coverage (40–50 m²/kg)
  • No clear overcoat required for outdoor use

Recommended Substrates:

  • Pre-treated fluted and solid polypropylene sheets
  • Other polyolefin materials with surface tension >42 dynes/cm

Note: Always perform adhesion tests before production runs to confirm suitability.

Recommended Emulsions:
For best results, use solvent and UV-compatible emulsions including Murakami SR, Chromaline UDC ACE, Saati SAATIGRAF HS3, and Saati Grafic HU. All recommended emulsions are available from our Solvent & UV Emulsions collection.

Thinners & Ink Adjustments:

  • Use up to 30% TS13 for thinning with fast drying
  • Use TS08 if ink appears mottled on some substrates
  • Add 10–20% TS03 Retarder for enhanced screen stability when needed

Drying:
Can be jet dried at 50–55°C or air dried on racks. Suitable for large print formats with vertical stacking.

Colours Available:
Full range of standard colours, Pantone-matched shades, blending bases, process colours, metallics, and overprint varnishes. Refer to the Sunmatch Colour Card for full listing.

Environmental & Safety Notes:
Corribond CR inks are not routinely tested for compliance with EN71 or food-contact standards. Always refer to the SDS before use and wear appropriate protective equipment during handling.
