Separation Tank Hydro

Separation Tank Hydro

Protect your drains from screen reclaim waste with a purpose-built, multi-stage separation tank.

Featuring a removable 3 mm solids tray, sludge partition, baffle chambers and final 38-micron mesh filtration, the Separation Tank Hydro helps capture ink, emulsion and reclaim solids before outgoing wastewater reaches the sewer.

Important information

The Separation Tank Hydro is designed to remove solids from outgoing wash-trough water. It should not be presented as a complete chemical-treatment or wastewater-compliance system.

Local discharge requirements may vary. Customers should seek advice from their relevant water authority regarding wastewater and sewer requirements.

Description

Stop screen reclaim solids before they reach your drains

Screen reclaiming sends ink residue, emulsion, sludge and debris through your wash trough every day.

The Hydro Separation Tank is designed to sit alongside your wash trough and filter heavier solids from outgoing wastewater before it reaches the sewer.

Using a removable large-solids tray, partitioned baffle chambers and a final 30-micron mesh filter, the system progressively captures reclaim waste while slowing and directing water through the tank.

A multi-stage defense for your washout drains

Rather than relying on a single filter, the Hydro Separation Tank separates solids across several stages.

Who is it for?

The Hydro Separation Tank is suited to:

Commercial screen-printing businesses
Shops reclaiming screens regularly
High-volume production facilities
Businesses installing a new washout area
Printers experiencing reclaim sludge in their plumbing
Workshops upgrading from basic drain screens or improvised filtration
Businesses seeking a cleaner and more manageable reclaim process
Product description

The Hydro Separation Tank is a purpose-built wastewater filtration system for use alongside a screen-printing wash trough.

Constructed from sturdy polypropylene, the tank uses a removable 3 mm large-solids tray, sludge partition, welded baffle chambers and a final 30-micron mesh filter to progressively separate reclaim solids from outgoing wastewater.

A 40 mm sewer outlet, overflow outlet and multiple release valves assist with installation, emptying and routine cleaning. The tank is mounted on castors for manoeuvrability, while its removable filter components make ongoing maintenance straightforward.

Key benefits

Protects your drainage system

Reduces the amount of ink, emulsion and reclaim solids entering your sewer connection.

Progressive multi-stage filtration

Combines large-solids removal, settling chambers and fine final filtration instead of relying on one basic screen.

Easier cleaning and maintenance

Removable filter components, tray handles and multiple release valves make collected waste easier to access and remove.

Durable polypropylene construction

The tank is manufactured from sturdy polypropylene for use in a wet screen-reclaim environment.

Mobile and practical

Mounted on castors, allowing the tank to be repositioned for installation, servicing and cleaning.

Built for screen-printing wash areas

Designed specifically for use alongside a screen-printing wash trough rather than being adapted from a generic wastewater tank.

HOW IT WORKS

Wash Trough

WASH TROUGH

Wastewater from screen reclaiming flows from the wash trough into the separation tank, carrying ink residue, emulsion, sludge and other solids.

3MM SOLIDS TRAY

The first filtration stage captures larger pieces of reclaim waste through rows of 3 mm holes, preventing bulky debris from travelling further through the system.

Separations Tank (12)

SLUDGE PARTITION

Heavier solids begin settling in the first section of the tank, creating a dedicated area where sludge can collect before the water moves into the baffle chambers.

BAFFLE CHAMBERS

The internal baffles slow and redirect the water through multiple chambers, giving suspended solids more time to settle out before reaching the final filter.

38 -MICRON FINAL FILTER

The final removable mesh filter captures finer particles before the water exits the tank. It can be removed for cleaning, remeshing or replacement when required.

40MM OUTLET

Filtered water leaves the tank through the 40 mm outlet and continues toward the sewer connection, subject to local water-authority requirements.

FEATURES

Large-solids filter

Wastewater first passes through a removable tray containing rows of 3 mm holes.

This catches larger reclaim waste immediately, before it moves into the main tank chambers.

Integrated handles make the tray easier to remove and clean.

Sludge partition

A dedicated sludge partition helps remove larger solids at the beginning of the filtration process.

This keeps heavier waste contained in an accessible section of the tank rather than allowing it to travel through the entire system.

Baffle chambers

Internally welded baffle chambers control the direction and velocity of the water.

As the wastewater slows and moves through each chamber, heavier solids are given more opportunity to settle out before the water reaches the final filtration stage.

Final 38-micron mesh filter

Before leaving the tank, the wastewater passes through a removable final mesh screen with a 38-micron opening.

The screen can be removed for cleaning and can be remeshed or replaced if required.

Frequently asked questions

What does the separation tank remove?

It is designed to capture solid screen-reclaim waste such as ink particles, emulsion residue, sludge and larger debris.

What filtration stages are included?

The system includes a removable 3 mm large-solids tray, sludge separation area, internal baffle chambers and a final removable 30-micron mesh screen.

What do the baffle chambers do?

The chambers control water movement and reduce its velocity, allowing heavier particles more time to settle inside the tank.

Can the filters be removed?

Yes. The solids tray and final filtration screen are removable for cleaning.

Can the final screen be replaced?

Yes. The final screen can be remeshed or replaced if required.

How is the tank emptied?

Multiple release valves are positioned along the tank to assist with emptying individual sections during cleaning.

Is it made from metal?

No. The tank is manufactured from sturdy polypropylene, which is suited to use in wet washout environments.

Does it guarantee wastewater compliance?

No. Requirements vary between water authorities, and customers should confirm their local obligations.
